Through partnerships with contracted agencies, Pioneer Resources offers transportation services for persons with mobility impairments, developmental disabilities, seniors, and others facing transportation barriers. Services are provided along the lakeshore in western Michigan (Ottawa and Muskegon counties).

We also provide individual transportation to seniors in a limited capacity (see below) with hopes to expand this much-needed service over time. You may also visit the Lakeshore RIDE link to see what services are available in your area for your specific need.

Senior Millage Transportation

Our Senior Millage Transportation Program provides rides to individuals ages 60 and up who reside in Muskegon County. Ride-along caregivers are welcome. Ride destinations must be within Muskegon County. Priority is given based on the social, functional, and economic needs of the individual. Call our transportation office at 231.773.8060 Monday-Friday between 9am-3pm to inquire about availability and to schedule your ride; plan ahead and call one week in advance if possible. Funding provided by Muskegon County Senior Millage.

Group Transportation Request

Do you have a group in need of transportation to and/or from an outing? We have limited availability to assist groups with this need. Simply submit your request online using the form below at least 2 weeks prior to the date needed. You may also print out the Transportation Request form and fax or email it to the appropriate contact as listed on the form. Our typical rate is $30 per hour and $3.30 per mile, subject to change. Please contact us for questions about eligibility criteria and availability.
