An Affirmative Employer
Some supported employment programs try to place people with disabilities in jobs within the community. The approach of Pioneer Resources is to be an affirmative, community-based employer.
We strive for an integrated work force, creating more opportunities for persons with disabilities. In some cases, job coaching and ongoing supervision are funded via a contract with Community Mental Health.
Food Service Training
A virtual learning laboratory for individuals interested in jobs in this growing sector of the service economy, students referred by
Michigan Rehabilitation Services or other sources can learn food preparation and sanitation skills that will prepare them for jobs in hospitals, nursing homes, schools and restaurants. Earning a ServSafe certificate from our certified instructor gives every trainee
a recognizable certification that lets a prospective employer know
the employee is an expert in food handling.
