Life should be fun! People should play with a purpose. Pioneer Resources encourages community involvement and supports healthy lifestyles by sponsoring the Leisure and Recreation Club (LARC.)

The LARC arranges affordable trips to the theater and sporting events, and promotes outings such as fishing trips, bowling, shopping, dinner, movies, walking and bicycling. LARC members can participate in a wide variety of classes ranging from water aerobics, to weaving, to self expression.

LARC is a club for people who are interested in expanding leisure opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities. You do not need to have a disability to join. Diversity is encouraged. You can become a member or a volunteer by calling 231-773-5355, ext. 16.

The Club newsletter, called the LARC LINK, describes events for each quarter. The latest newsletter can be viewed by clicking EVENTS below. To hear about upcoming events, call our LARC Hotline at 231-773-5355, ext. 30.

Pioneer Trails
Pioneer Resources operates Pioneer Trails on beautiful Big Blue Lake in northern Muskegon County. Pioneer Trails is a rustic, barrier-free camp with lake frontage, a wooded setting, paved trails, and cabins. The camp offers a wonderful environment for fun and growth, providing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to enjoy the outdoors in a user-friendly environment. The site is also rented by groups who need a barrier-free camp. Check out the website below:
